Described by Edward Albee as “the greatest American play ever written,” Our Town presents the small town of Grover’s Corners in three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, the play depicts the simple daily lives of the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and eventually --- in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die. A Midsummer Night's Dream
Carthage Little Theatre has been producing performances that have delighted the residents of our small, North Country hamlet and its surrounds for well over half a century. We are deeply grateful to the local community for their patronage, participation, and support. Though we may be little, we have big ambitions, including mounting a continuous schedule of productions throughout each coming year, providing opportunities for theatre lovers to get involved on and off the stage, and building community through a shared love of the performing arts.
As a community theatre, we know how to do a lot with a little. Imagine what we could do with just a little bit more.
